“His has too much hype and overpriced” Graham Potter warned Chelsea board against signing this Chelsea player
According to a Daily Mail article, Graham Potter, a former Chelsea manager, advised the club’s board not to sign Enzo Fernandez because he thought the player was overpriced at £106.8 million.
Chelsea reached a late-day agreement with Benfica to sign the Argentina international for a British record sum.
Potter was also displeased with Chelsea’s January signing spree because it divided the team’s players.
Chelsea’s January signings left the Blues with a squad of over 30 players, which caused selection difficulties for both Potter and his acting replacement Frank Lampard.
