“His the game changer we need” Pochettino gives green light for his first Chelsea signing

Mauricio Pochettino, the next manager of Chelsea, has given the club the go-ahead for the club to sign Manuel Ugarte, who might be his first signing.

Ugarte is now playing for Sporting CP, but Pochettino, who will be introduced as Chelsea’s new manager this week, wants to sign him.

Chelsea is rumored to have said they are willing to pay Ugarte’s £52 million release clause in full, and Pochettino is claimed to have approved the midfielder’s transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

PSG, Pochettino’s former club, is rumored to have made a counteroffer for Ugarte, but Chelsea are in the lead since the 22-year-old is reportedly eager to play in the Premier League.

In Chelsea’s center midfield next season, Ugarte might be the ideal midfield partner for Enzo Fernandez.
