How Chelsea’s Nightmare Season Exposes Deep-Rooted Problems in the Club’s Structure and Leadership

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has ordered Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to “stop meddling” after blaming him for the club’s “nightmare” season.

After losing 3-1 at Arsenal, the Blues dropped to 12th place in the Premier League standings.

Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter this season in addition to shattering the club’s record for spending on transfers.

The former midfielder Frank Lampard was then signed by the American billionaire on a short-term contract till the end of the current campaign.

It all comes from the top, the Sky Sports analyst remarked on his Gary Neville Podcast. From the start, it’s been a mess and in chaos.

“Boehly misunderstood this league after having a nightmare. He’ll pick it up quickly, I’m sure. This season’s events are entirely his fault.

“He had to maintain the cohesiveness of the footballing department. He represents the non-football division. You hold ownership. You are not a coach or a player.
