I am ready to cut my salary to remain here – £325,000-a-week Player tells Chelsea

According to the Evening Standard, Romelu Lukaku, the striker for Chelsea, is determined to resist Chelsea’s efforts to sell him to Al-Hilal, as he desires to return to Inter Milan.

Al-Hilal, a Saudi club, has offered £60 million to Chelsea for Lukaku’s transfer. However, the Belgian striker is only willing to join Inter Milan, who are interested in signing him on a loan basis.

Lukaku currently holds the title of the highest-paid player at Stamford Bridge but declined an additional £6 million salary increase to join Al-Hilal. Instead, he wishes to return to Inter Milan for a second season on loan and is willing to accept a salary that is half of his current £325,000-a-week wage.

Unfortunately, Chelsea is not inclined to authorize a loan move for Lukaku. The club’s preference is to sell the 30-year-old Belgian striker and remove his salary from their books.

While there were rumors suggesting AC Milan’s interest in the Belgium international, there has been no contact made with them thus far.
