I have never seen anyone as quick as £97,000 a week Chelsea player – Michail Antonio says

On “The Footballer’s Football Podcast,” Michail Antonio asserted that Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea is the fastest player he has ever seen.

Following a busy January, the Blues played West Ham at the London Stadium last weekend in an effort to forge some sort of bond among the members of their first team.

Mudryk joined the team last month as part of Stamford Bridge’s historic mid-season rebuild.

Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, and a plethora of others joined his addition.

Graham Potter now has the challenge of creating an XI each week that is up to the task, even though there was plenty of talent that entered the building on paper.

The manager obviously thinks Mudryk is already a part of that. He made his Premier League and Champions League debut off the bench, but since then, he has started each game.

Given that he hadn’t played for months prior to moving to England, it may be expected that he has had some difficulty getting up to speed in his first few games.

His pace, though, has been something that has stood out. When he faced the Blues at the weekend, Antonio claimed he had never witnessed anything like it.

“Mudryk, very sharp,” he said. The guy moves quickly. Woah. Rapid. I’ve never seen anyone run as fast as that guy.

As Christian Pulisic and especially Raheem Sterling make their injury recoveries, Mudryk’s position on the squad can come under further criticism.

The England international is getting closer to a complete recovery after being briefly used as a substitute against Fulham, but he was unable to go to Germany for yesterday’s encounter.
