“I know that my responsibility is very great” – ‘Chelsea needs me’ – Player confirms he’s in talks with Chelsea
Thiago Silva has acknowledged that he and Chelsea are in contract talks.
At the end of the current season, Silva’s contract expires, although Chelsea and Silva are now negotiating a new one.
We are negotiating [a new deal], Silva said to ESPN.
“Everything is likely to occur within the next few days. The club and I both have the goal of sticking together. I am aware of the club’s current need for me.
“I am here to be able to help, they are young players, anyway,” the 38-year-old continued. I am here and willing to help in the club’s rebuilding process because I have expertise, but I am aware of the importance of my responsibilities.
