“I will not start him again” Graham Potter says after woeful and hopeless performance against Man City

After his poor performance in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Thursday night, Graham Potter has warned Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that he won’t play for Chelsea again.

Marc Cucurella, a left defender for Chelsea, received criticism as well for his subpar play in the team’s loss to Manchester City.

Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, said on BBC Radio 5 Live:

“Aubameyang seems disinterested in being present this evening. He is not alone in this. Cucurella is an extremely expensive player who doesn’t look like he belongs on a Chelsea club that wants to win titles.

“I wonder if Graham Potter is considering how he can use Aubameyang in a Chelsea uniform again after how awful he was.

“I’m always reluctant to criticize players for lack of effort or unprofessional body language, but Aubameyang completely personified that; I thought he was pitiful and hopeless and didn’t contribute nearly enough.

Graham Potter might be thinking, “Blimey, he is never going to play in a Chelsea jersey again under me,” because of how uninterested he appeared.
