“If you can’t pay £65m we are not selling” Todd Boehly rejects £50million bid for Chelsea star

According to reports from The Athletic, Chelsea have turned down a £50 million offer from Manchester United for their midfielder Mason Mount.

Manchester United made their second bid for Mount on Wednesday, but it was swiftly rejected by Chelsea.

The bid from Manchester United was structured as an initial fee of £45 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons. However, Chelsea is seeking a fee of £60 million, with the same £5 million in add-ons.

Despite having one year remaining on his current contract with Stamford Bridge, discussions regarding an extension have not yet reached a favorable outcome.

Mason Mount, who came through the ranks of Chelsea’s academy, has amassed 195 appearances for the club since his debut in the first team in 2017. During this time, he has contributed 33 goals to the team’s success.
