“I’m happy with him” – Pochettino names Chelsea star he doesn’t want sold

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has affirmed that midfielder Conor Gallagher remains part of his plans at the club, despite numerous reports linking the England international with a potential departure from Stamford Bridge.

The former Tottenham boss expressed his contentment with Gallagher’s performances and suggested that he is not inclined towards selling the player. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s pre-season match against Newcastle United, Pochettino mentioned his anticipation of collaborating with the academy product.

“As of now, I am pleased with him and his contributions. The players who are currently on the tour are all included in our plans, and Conor is one of them,” Pochettino stated.

He further revealed that he had already spoken with Gallagher upon his arrival, emphasizing that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes impact football decisions. Nevertheless, Pochettino reiterated his satisfaction with the midfielder’s displays.

In Chelsea’s two pre-season matches so far, Gallagher has already found the back of the net twice.
