Carney Chukwuemeka, a standout for Chelsea, has told manager Graham Potter where he prefers to play.
I probably feel most at home as a left 8 in a three, Chukwuemeka remarked in a statement to Chelsea’s official website.
But as I move forward, I have the option to veer off course or remain broad. It allows me the freedom to carry the ball when driving and receive it in the pockets.
“As I was growing up, I did play in a variety of midfield and forward positions for Villa. I was accustomed to it and to mastering various roles while playing for England at the young level.
“Throughout my career to date, I have had to adapt. Being adaptable is always a positive thing. You never know when you’ll be required in various roles.
