“It is time to replace him” – Gary Neville advises Ten Hag on Man United £375,000-a-week star

The time has come for the Premier League team to replace David de Gea, according to former Manchester United captain Gary Neville.

De Gea won the Golden Glove for the Premier League at the end of this campaign. However, a number of unsettling performances have made some wonder about his future.

Recently, Ten Hag was unable to assure the Spaniard that he would be his first pick for the following season.

De Gea’s Old Trafford contract expires this month, although he is anticipated to sign a new one with less favorable terms prior to that.

Neville, however, feels that hiring a new goalkeeper should now take precedence over finding a new striker.

Neville told Metro.co.uk, “You have to start with a center forward and a goalkeeper.”

If a football club doesn’t have those two spots set, they struggle greatly.

“Manchester United is seriously struggling, especially up front, but the moment has come for them to sign a good goalie. It was all told to us in the Cup final [versus City] . I try not to bring it up too often, but the second goal shouldn’t have been scored.
