“It so sad but you have to let him go” Ex-Blue Scott Minto says club should sell N’Golo Kante

According to former Chelsea left-back Scott Minto, it is time for Chelsea to “let N’Golo Kante go.”

At the conclusion of the current campaign, Kante’s contract at Stamford Bridge will expire, and recent rumours indicate that the defensive midfielder is willing to leave Chelsea on a free transfer.

The length of his contract extension has been a sticking point in the negotiations, despite the fact that both the player and the club are more than prepared to agree to a new deal.

Due to the French World Cup winner’s ongoing injury issues over the past three seasons, Chelsea has extended a two-year contract to the 31-year-old.

Kante, though, rejected that offer because he preferred a four-year deal, similar to the one signed by Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer.

In the midst of this, PSG has rekindled their interest in the player and will have the option to sign Kante to a pre-contract agreement on January 1 if he and Chelsea cannot come to an agreement on new terms.

Minto responded to a question regarding what Chelsea should do about Kante by saying, “He’s 31 years old, he’s a terrific player, and when he’s fit I still don’t think there’s anyone better,” according to talkSPORT.

“You think back to the Tottenham game where Chelsea played better than Spurs and Spurs won it; he was outstanding.”

‘But one, he’s not always in shape, and second, I don’t think you can ask for four-year contracts when you’re on the wrong side of 30. You can only receive a two-year loan, at most.

Accordingly, if he insists that it must be that or nothing, Chelsea should fire him, in my opinion.
