“It was huge mistake” Pochettino blames two Chelsea players for 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest

Mauricio Pochettino, the Chelsea manager, has voiced his discontent regarding errors committed by Moises Caicedo and Thiago Silva in the aftermath of their 1-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Both players were culpable for the only goal of the game, which was netted by Anthony Elanga in the 48th minute. Caicedo had possession of the ball in his own half but a lapse in control led to him losing possession.

This allowed Taiwo Awoniyi to surge forward and deliver a pass that threaded its way between Thiago Silva’s legs, ultimately reaching Elanga, who then struck it home.

“We made one mistake, and we cannot afford to do that. This is why we’re feeling extremely disappointed. Football is all about minimizing errors. Unfortunately, we made one mistake, and we paid the price for it,” commented Pochettino.
