“It will be hard for Lampard to get another job” – Chris Sutton slams Chelsea

Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, has criticized the Blues for their recent poor performance in the Premier League under interim manager Frank Lampard.

Sutton claimed that Chelsea lacked a game plan and a regular style of play, and he added that it would be challenging for Lampard to obtain another coaching position in England.

Under Lampard, Chelsea has dropped every game this year.

Their most recent loss was a 3-1 setback against Premier League rivals and Londoners Arsenal.

“Chelsea hoped they were getting Super Frank [Lampard] , a romantic homecoming to rejuvenate the club,” Sutton wrote in his Daily Mail column. After six losses, they are still forced to use “Frank L-L-L-L-L-Lampard.” Under their caretaker manager, Chelsea has only recorded losses, the most recent of which was a dismal 3-1 loss at Arsenal. It was sufficient to make you question what they do during the workweek for training.

“This was a Chelsea team with World Cup champions and runners-up, a Golden Boot winner in the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League winners, and talent worth millions upon millions of pounds. However, they had no strategy, no established pattern of play, and absolutely no chance of ascending the pitch.

It’s challenging to imagine how Lampard will land another job in the Premier League after what was initially supposed to be a “free hit” killed his reputation.
