“It’s unfair” – Ian Wright feels sorry for £97,000-per-week player that joined Chelsea in January
Ian Wright, a former player at Arsenal, reportedly expressed sympathy for Mykhailo Mudryk, who chose Chelsea over a move to the Gunners.
Leandro Trossard was then acquired by Arsenal from Brighton after Mudryk decided to sign with Chelsea.
While Trossard has gotten off to a fast start at Arsenal, Mudryk has had a sluggish start at Chelsea.
On the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Wright stated that the fact that Arsenal didn’t acquire Mudryk might have been for the best.
No matter what anyone says, Mudryk, he wouldn’t have done what Trossard has done up to this point based on what we have seen so far.
“Mudryk, for his own reason, I do feel terrible for him. I don’t know if there was ever a football player in history who had to have a transfer of that kind of money with so much politicalness surrounding him. It almost seems unjust.
