JUST IN: Chelsea preparing late bid for €120million midfielder to complete perfect January transfer window
Enzo Fernandez of Benfica is still a target for Chelsea, according to Portuguese media source Record via Football London.
Before the transfer window shuts, Chelsea is reportedly prepared to make another offer for the midfielder from Benfica.
According to reports, Benfica is not going to change its stance on Fernandez, thus Chelsea will have to meet his €120 million release clause in order to sign the midfielder in January.
The Portuguese powerhouses have consistently insisted that for a transfer to take place, only the release clause in Fernandez’s contract, which they added in the summer after he moved from River Plate, needs to be activated.
