JUST IN: Fabrizio Romano provides key update on Graham Potter’s future as Chelsea boss
Graham Potter’s future as Chelsea manager has received important clarification from transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have only won once in their previous 11 games in all competitions, and they are currently in a dismal run of form.
Tottenham defeated Chelsea 2-0 over the weekend, and there is currently little indication that things will get better any time soon.
Romano claims that if Potter’s performance doesn’t improve soon, Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are prepared to fire him.
According to Romano for CaughtOffside, “Chelsea are still supporting and defending Graham Potter, as of now.”
Therefore, they naturally want encouraging outcomes as quickly as possible since otherwise, things can change.
Romano also offered his opinion on what’s wrong with Chelsea under Potter, stating that it’s more of a mental issue than a tactical one.
“My belief is that the team’s present form is not about the tactics, but rather the mental attitude; at this time, this is the essential aspect,” he stated.
