Just In: Man United block Alejandro Garnacho from playing for Argentina at U-20 World Cup
According to TyC Sports, Alejandro Garnacho won’t be able to participate in the Under-20 World Cup next month.
The 18-year-old has been selected for the Argentina team for the competition, which begins on May 20 and ends before the end of the season.
The forward has been prevented by Manchester United from leaving the team during the remaining half of the season. The Argentine FA is making “every effort” to fix the problem.
Garnacho, who has been out since March, is anticipated to return before the month is up. This season, the attacker has made appearances in 29 games and contributed to goals.
