Just In: Man United forward leaves Ten Hag’s side for EPL rival

Manchester United’s forward, Anthony Elanga, has completed a permanent move to fellow Premier League team Nottingham Forest.

The announcement was made by Manchester United through a statement on their official website on Tuesday morning.

The statement from Manchester United expressed appreciation for Elanga’s contributions during his time at the club, and it confirmed that the transfer was carried out for an undisclosed fee. The club also mentioned that they are looking forward to seeing the winger return to Old Trafford on the 26th of August when Nottingham Forest visits.

During the previous season, Elanga appeared in 26 matches across various competitions under the management of Erik ten Hag. However, he found limited opportunities in the starting lineup, featuring in only five Premier League games as he fell down the pecking order.

Anthony Elanga, who is 21 years old, made his senior debut towards the end of the 2020/2021 season in a Premier League match against Leicester City at Old Trafford.

Having progressed through Manchester United’s homegrown academy, Elanga earned recognition for his talent, winning the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award in 2020.
