JUST IN: Manchester United interested in signing player not wanted by Chelsea
According to a report from GOAL, Manchester United is actively considering the possibility of acquiring Joao Felix, the Portuguese international who spent the previous season on loan at Chelsea.
Felix is keen on continuing his career in the Premier League after his loan spell at Chelsea during the second half of the 2022-23 season.
Manchester United has initiated preliminary discussions with Felix’s representatives, but no official offers have been submitted to his parent club, Atletico Madrid, at this point.
Newcastle United and Aston Villa, both Premier League clubs, have also shown interest in signing the 23-year-old Portuguese international.
While Chelsea had a desire to secure Felix’s services on a permanent basis, they were deterred by Atletico Madrid’s substantial valuation of €100 million (£87m/$110m).
