JUST IN: Pochettino tells Chelsea to block defender from leaving Stamford Bridge

Reports suggest that Mauricio Pochettino, the newly appointed manager of Chelsea, has instructed the club to reject any offers for Levi Colwill, a talented 20-year-old defender.

Colwill is highly regarded as one of the best young English center-backs in his age group. During the previous season, he was loaned out to Brighton and made 24 appearances for the team across various competitions.

Brighton is keen on keeping Colwill beyond the summer, but Pochettino is adamant about retaining the player at Chelsea. The Guardian reports that Pochettino is determined to keep Colwill at Stamford Bridge under any circumstances.

Just last month, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed his desire for Colwill to continue playing for Brighton next season, acknowledging that the final decision lies with Chelsea.

De Zerbi stated, “I hope Levi can play with us next year, but it is the decision of Chelsea. We have to be ready to change some players, but he is a top player for us.”
