JUST IN: Silva announces attacker ‘will be brilliant signing’ – Chelsea get £200M chance

Thiago Silva has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the possibility of Chelsea signing Paulo Dybala from Roma. Speculation surrounding Dybala’s future has been rife, with reports suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino has urged the board to bring the Argentine international to the club.

Despite facing injury setbacks during the season, Dybala managed to score 12 goals and provide six assists in 26 Serie A appearances, as well as netting five goals on the path to the Europa League final. His presence at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone fueled rumors of a potential move to Stamford Bridge, where Silva was also in attendance along with other high-profile stars.

When asked by Sky Sport Italia about the potential transfer of the versatile Argentine star, Thiago Silva revealed, “I’ve asked Paulo Dybala if it’s true that he’s coming to Chelsea, but he didn’t answer! He’s a top player, and he would be a significant signing for us—I would like it.”

In other news, former Director Leonardo has advised Chelsea target Kylian Mbappe to leave Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe has declared that he will not extend his contract with the club beyond next summer, leading to widespread speculation about his departure.

Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all expressed interest in signing the French World Cup winner, particularly before he renewed his contract with PSG. To avoid the scenario of losing him on a free transfer next summer, PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed that Mbappe will not be allowed to leave for free.

Leonardo, in an interview with L’Equipe, stated, “For the good of PSG, I think the time has come for Mbappe to go, no matter what. Paris Saint-Germain existed before Kylian Mbappe, and it will exist after him. It’s entirely possible to win this competition without him, as five different clubs have won the Champions League in the last six seasons without Mbappe.”

As for the possibility of Chelsea signing Mbappe, financial considerations will play a crucial role. Currently, only a few clubs in Europe can afford Mbappe, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich not being among them, while Chelsea could potentially make an offer if given the opportunity. However, the significant issue may lie in Mbappe’s wages, as he is currently earning close to £1 million per week, which Chelsea may be reluctant to match.
