Just In: Todd Boehly terminates the contract of £180,000 per week Chelsea star
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has decided to end the contract of their captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, allowing the defender to depart from the club as a free agent.
Azpilicueta has reached an agreement on a two-year contract with Atletico Madrid, a Spanish team.
In a tweet, Romano stated: “Chelsea has officially informed César Azpilicueta and his representatives that he will be permitted to leave the club without any transfer fee; his contract will be terminated. There is a mutual respect between Azpi and the club.
“Atletico will soon announce Azpi as their new signing. The deal is finalized and ready to go.”
