Kalidou is lauded by Jorginho The ideal Rudiger replacement is Koulibaly

Jorginho, a midfielder for Chelsea, thinks his former teammate Kalidou Koulibaly is the ideal alternative for Antonio Rudiger.

Rudiger, a free agent from Germany, joined Real Madrid earlier this summer. He has been a key component of Chelsea’s success ever since Thomas Tuchel took over for Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger’s aggressive playing style was perfect for the Premier League, and after regaining his place as a vital team player after being essentially shut out by Lampard, he became one of the leaders in the locker room.

It was clear that Chelsea needed a strong, seasoned replacement when Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta left, and Jorginho is certain Koulibaly fills that role.

When questioned about his involvement in the move of the Senegal international, he stated: “I was only chatting to him as a friend, saying let’s play together again.” I used to play with you; come on, let’s play again. It’s been a while.

When asked if Koulibaly would be the best Rudiger replacement, he responded, “Oh sure, for me it’s the best replacement.”

The club, along with the staff and the coach, made the best decision possible. I just sincerely hope and believe he will be a huge asset to our squad.

Naturally, we are thrilled since it means fresh players will join the group and assist the club accomplish significant goals. It’s what makes Chelsea what it is.

Despite Barcelona allegedly trying to sabotage the deal, Chelsea still hopes to add at least one more defender to its ranks, with Jules Kounde still a possibility.

Tuchel is still trying to persuade Azpilicueta to stay in West London, but the future of the player may not be clear-cut.

When asked if he found Barcelona’s insistence on signing Azpilicueta annoying, Tuchel responded, “Maybe a little bit.”

Tuchel added, “It’s a tough question because I’m not sure if I want to give Azpi what he wants.” in reference to Azpilicueta’s predicament.

Eventually, it comes down to what we want. I was merely drawing a contrast between how hard we fought for [Kalidou] Koulibaly, a member of the national squad who is about the same age. He is a crucial member of the Napoli team, yet Chelsea’s captain is a Spanish international.

I might put him on the same level as him, but Barcelona doesn’t. Because he is such a big player, I’m not sure if I want to give him what he wants.

We don’t give other clubs much thought. The emphasis is on us and our requirements. I told him that and now I’m telling you that I understand on a personal and professional level. But I’m not just playing this part to fulfill his demands. I want what is best for Chelsea because I am the manager of Chelsea.

Although he doesn’t like it, he comprehends. He finds it difficult because the other club is always on him. On September 1, once everything have calmed down, he may perform at his peak.
