La Liga has been blocking Barcelona from signing this Chelsea player in January
An update on Barcelona’s interest in re-signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window has been provided by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Aubameyang moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer, but he hasn’t exactly been in top form while wearing the blue and white.
According to reports, Aubameyang wants to leave Chelsea in January. However, due to FIFA regulations, he can only do so by joining Barcelona again.
“A deal for Barcelona to re-sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Chelsea hinges on La Liga,” Romano said to CaughtOffside. “At the present, the laws are not permitting Barcelona to move with the transfer; let’s see if they will obtain the green light but at the time, no.”
Barcelona could only move forward with a loan or a free transfer; nothing significant or impending has yet.
