List of  Chelsea players that are playing in the World Cup 2022

In their penultimate match before the World Cup in Qatar, Chelsea continued their dismal recent form by losing to Newcastle 1-0.

Twelve members of the Blues squad will travel to the Middle East, leaving manager Graham Potter with a smaller team to handle during the six-week break as he attempts to improve results before domestic football resumes next month.

But which Blues players will be traveling to Qatar on the plane?

Zakaria Denis

Zakaria, an Arsenal player who joined the club on loan from Juventus, hasn’t played much for the team this year despite being a key cog in Switzerland’s midfield in recent years alongside Granit Xhaka.

Théodore Silva

The 38-year-old center back, who will be representing Brazil in his third World Cup, is most likely making his final-ever appearance in the tournament.

Hassan Ziyech

Ziyech, who stands out among a promising group of Moroccan players, rejoins the club after briefly leaving it in February 2022 due to a disagreement with then-coach Vahid Halilhodzic.

Pulisic, Christian

As the face of American football, Pulisic is headed to Qatar, where the USA captain will play England on November 25 in the second group game.

Hasrtz, Kai

Havertz, a forward who has scored an outstanding 10 goals in 30 games for the Germans so far, has been chosen for the team that will attempt to capture the nation’s fifth World Cup title, tying a record.

Gallagher, Conor

Gallagher, a midfielder, was a surprise selection in Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man England squad. He had only received his first of four caps, in a 10-0 victory against San Marino in November 2021.

Mount Mason

Since Mount had consistently been one of the first names on the squad sheet under Southgate’s reign, his selection on the final roster came as no surprise.

Sterling, Raheem

One more game will bring Sterling to 80 appearances for the Three Lions, and his performance in the Middle East will have a significant impact on whether the squad can win its first major prize since 1966.

Tomás Kovacic

Fans will be praying that Kovacic does not worsen the injury that has bothered him occasionally this season while traveling with Croatia, despite the fact that he has been one of Chelsea’s greatest players this season.

Azpilicueta, Cesar

The 33-year-old is nearing the end of his great Chelsea career, but despite the fan favorite showing signs of aging this year, manager Luis Enrique has selected the fullback for Spain’s roster for Qatar.

Koulibaly Kalidou

After leading Senegal to victory in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year after defeating Egypt on penalties in the championship game, Koulibaly will serve as the team’s captain in Qatar.

Emmanuel Mendy

Mendy, who made his debut for the African champions back in 2018, may have dropped behind Kepa in the Stamford Bridge pecking order, but he still holds the first spot for Senegal in goal.
