Man United confirm deal for £46,800 per week attacker as Vardy turns down new club

Manchester United has officially announced that 20-year-old forward Mateo Mejia has agreed to a new contract with the club. The news was shared through a statement on the Man United website on Wednesday.

Mejia initially joined Manchester United from Real Zaragoza in 2019. During the previous season, he gained valuable experience in the Premier League 2, scoring two goals, one of which came against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The statement from Manchester United expressed congratulations to Mejia and expressed anticipation for his performances in the upcoming 2023/24 season.

In a separate report, Sky Sports reveals that Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has rejected an opportunity to join Saudi Arabian side Khaleej FC. Vardy’s decision was influenced by his belief that the move would not be suitable for his family.

Despite having one year remaining on his current contract with Leicester, Vardy could potentially stay at the King Power Stadium to aid the Foxes in their quest to regain promotion to the Premier League following their relegation last season.

There have been no discussions regarding his future with Leicester City’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, as of yet.
