Man United is plotting future move for 6 ft 2 phenom “imagine him & Garnacho”

Manchester United is rumored to be interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson, but any transfer would probably not go through until the summer of 2019.

What has Ferguson and Manchester United changed recently?

According to writer Melissa Reddy, the Red Devils and rival Tottenham Hotspur are apparently preparing a bid for the 18-year-old talent in 2024. The teenager had previously been tried out by United, but they were unable to sign him.

According to the reputed expert, “Evan Ferguson has been identified by both Manchester United and Tottenham as the forward who can lead their line over the long term, with groundwork having started over a future move.”

According to Reddy in the story she has attached for Sky Sports, the Republic of Ireland star, who recently signed a new contract with the Seagulls, is thought to be a ‘£50m-plus mistake’ by many at United due to their earlier failure to sign him. The talented kid is currently being positioned by Erik ten Hag and company as a long-term aim.

Evan Ferguson, if Man United were to sign him.

The former Bohemian striker, who has 10 goals at the senior level across all competitions this season, has surely gained attention recently after what has been a truly breakthrough season at the Amex.

The much sought-after striker has been branded a future “£100 million phenom” by Reddy, while Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has suggested the 6 foot 2 ace might develop into one of the “best strikers in the Premier League.” The striker has five goals this season for the young ranks in just six Premier League 2 outings.

Ferguson has reportedly been compared to former Manchester United star Michael Owen because of his “ice cold” finishing ability, according to talkSPORT analyst Scott Minto. It won’t be surprising if Ferguson continues to play well for the south coast squad next season given the plaudits he is receiving for his excellent recent play.

If the four-cap juggernaut ultimately transfers to the Theatre of Dreams, Ferguson and fellow adolescent Alejandro Garnacho, who has also been a breakout star in the Premier League this season, might make a very enticing, long-term offensive tandem.

The FA Youth Cup-winning winger has so far contributed to five goals and five assists at the senior level, and he has only recently completed a successful injury comeback with a late goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Argentine speedster has established himself as a true “game changer” for United despite just being 18 years old, according to journalist Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News. After the “brave” young man’s performance against the Old Gold, Ten Hag called him a “huge talent” and commended his “courage.”

Although the Madrid-born giant will need to sustain his first-team impact next season, just as Ferguson will at the Amex, Garnacho may very well be a future star for the Red Devils.

It is amazing to think that the clinical Brighton guy and the teen machine might very well be partnered at some point in the approaching years.
