Man United make verbal offer for signing – He’s now waiting for ‘concrete’ push from club

According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb on Thursday, Manchester United is expected to make a bid for Atalanta’s star player, Rasmus Hjlund, in the next few hours. The striker is a top priority target for Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United is eager to complete the deal swiftly and has already reached a “total agreement” with the 20-year-old Danish international, as stated by Alfredo Pedullà. Hjlund has already signed a contract with the Premier League team and is now awaiting concrete action from the club.

To secure the transfer, Manchester United will need to formalize a new offer in the coming days, meeting Atalanta’s demands. Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, acknowledges that it will be nearly impossible to keep the player and has urged the club’s executives to reach a decision before July 31.

According to the reports, negotiations between the clubs have been completed, and Manchester United has already made a verbal proposal. The club is set to start serious negotiations soon to meet Atalanta’s demand of €60 million plus bonuses for Hjlund. Atalanta is solely interested in monetary compensation and does not wish to include any players in the deal.

In the event that Hjlund remains at Atalanta after this transfer window, Gasperini admitted during an interview with Sky Italia that he is uncertain about the player’s future value in the market, as it can be unpredictable. However, he acknowledged Hjlund’s immense talent, considering him one of the top emerging players in Europe.
