Man United now make another big-money offer to sign superb player who Mbappe loves

According to a report from Sky Sports, Manchester United has submitted a fresh bid of £50 million for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, but once again, the offer has been turned down.

The latest transfer rumors surrounding Mason Mount indicate that he has only one year remaining on his Chelsea contract, leading to eagerness from Manchester United and Erik ten Hag to secure his services at Old Trafford this summer.

While personal terms between Manchester United and Mount were agreed upon earlier this month, reaching an agreement on the transfer fee with their Premier League rivals has proven challenging.

Chelsea swiftly rejected the initial offer of £40 million and reportedly holds a valuation of around £70 million for Mount. Sky Sports has provided an update on the situation, revealing Manchester United’s most recent offer to Chelsea for the midfielder.

According to Sky Sports, the offer from Manchester United amounts to £50 million, including a guaranteed £45 million fee with an additional £5 million in performance-related bonuses. However, this offer has also been rejected, and ongoing discussions are expected to take place.

Chelsea has turned down Manchester United’s second bid for Mason Mount, which is believed to be worth £50 million. Manchester United has a specific price in mind that they are unlikely to exceed, despite their desire to sign the player. Negotiations are set to continue.

The prospect of Mason Mount joining Manchester United seems highly sought-after at Old Trafford, especially considering that the player has shown no interest in renewing his contract with Chelsea. Hopefully, a deal can be reached in the near future.

Mount possesses considerable Premier League experience and has received praise from Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, who described him as a “mad player,” as well as from reported target Kylian Mbappe, who called him a “superb player.” His versatility in midfield would provide valuable options for the team.

With 129 Premier League appearances and contributions to 51 goals, Mount can operate as an attacking or central midfielder, and he can even play on the flanks if required. This flexibility would allow him to form a midfield trio alongside players like Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, bringing balance to Manchester United’s midfield.

When compared to other attacking midfielders, Mount ranks in the 93rd percentile for progressive passes, 99th percentile for shots blocked, and 94th percentile for tackles in the midfield third, highlighting his potential contributions to Erik ten Hag’s team.
