Man United reportedly invited to sign free agent who loves Ten Hag’s training sessions

Manchester United has been approached regarding the potential signing of winger Oussama Idrissi, who has previously played under Erik ten Hag.

United is exploring options for free agent wingers as Ten Hag faces challenges in the wing positions, particularly with Antony sidelined and uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho’s return.

Rumors have circulated this week about the possibility of adding free agents, including links to Anwar El Ghazi, although these rumors have been downplayed.

Another name in the mix is Oussama Idrissi, as agents seem to be encouraging United to pursue a move.

According to 90Min, Manchester United is contemplating the signing of Oussama Idrissi after being presented with the opportunity. Idrissi is coming off a productive season in which he scored seven goals in various competitions while on loan at Dutch champions Feyenoord.

The 27-year-old is currently a free agent after Sevilla agreed to terminate the final two years of his contract before the deadline. Consequently, Idrissi is free to explore new opportunities and reportedly has interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

United has received an invitation to pursue Idrissi, and it’s possible that agents are hoping to entice Ten Hag into a reunion.

Erik ten Hag has previously received praise from Idrissi, and the United manager is known for re-signing former players, as seen with Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, Sofyan Amrabat, and Antony.

Idrissi is a player who is familiar with Ten Hag, having joined Ajax on loan for the second half of the 2020-21 season. While his impact with Ten Hag was limited, with 14 appearances but no goals or assists, Idrissi enjoyed working with Ten Hag, describing his training sessions as “great.”

During Idrissi’s time at Ajax, the team was performing exceptionally well, giving Ten Hag little reason to make significant changes and feature Idrissi prominently.

Idrissi appears to be open to reuniting with Ten Hag, but whether the United manager shares the same interest remains to be seen.
