Man United: Sheikh Jassim could provide huge money for £157m star at Old Trafford

According to journalist Steve Bates, Manchester United might be one of the few teams that could afford to bring forward Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford if they got funding from Qatar.

The Glazers put the Red Devils up for sale in November of last year and are currently in discussions with a number of potential buyers.

Kylian Mbappe transfer news from Manchester United
According to rumors, Sir Jim Ratcliffe of England and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar could submit a second offer to purchase Manchester United this week.

The Mirror claims that the former intends to raise his first £4.5 billion bid from last month.

Although journalist Jonathon Johnson thinks this is doubtful, Football Insider sources claim that the new owners at Old Trafford may make a play for Mbappe in an effort to win over the Red Devils faithful.

Dean Jones, a transfer insider, stated to GIVEMESPORT last month that a move for the French superstar may be “possible” if a takeover is finished prior to the summer transfer window. The superstar joined PSG for £157 million from Monaco in the summer of 2018.

And according to Bates, only Manchester City and Manchester United would be able to afford Mbappe’s services if he is purchased by Qatari investors.

What has Bates said on Kylian Mbappe and Manchester United?
Bates stated the following in response to the possibility of Mbappe joining Man Utd: “We know that because of the money he is on from the contract signed with PSG, whatever transaction is done will cost tremendous money if he just wanted to leave Paris in the summer.

“Manchester United’s new Qatari owners were the only ones who could contribute the funds. The price, in my opinion, would disqualify Liverpool.

Only Manchester City and Manchester United, in my opinion, would be in the running for the Premier League.

Would Mbappe benefit Manchester United if he joined?
Mbappe, one of the top players in the world right now, would be a great addition to Erik ten Hag’s team as the Dutchman works to turn United into a team that can compete for the title.

The 66-cap French international has 31 goals and 8 assists in 33 games this season. In the World Cup final penalty shootout loss for Les Bleus to Argentina, he also scored a hat-trick.

The 24-year-Ligue old’s 1 efforts have earned him an average WhoScored rating of 7.72 for the current season, placing him second in the PSG squad behind Lionel Messi and highlighting his significance to the French powerhouses.

The former World Cup champion would be a game-changer for ten Hag’s team at Old Trafford, and any new owners would be sure to win the club’s fan base with this outstanding addition.
