Man Utd has cancel Ronaldo’s contract without payoff

According to SportsMail, Manchester United plans to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with no financial compensation.

Ronaldo would have received £16 million until the end of his contract in June, but the Premier League club has started the legal process to rip up his £500,000-per-week agreement without paying him a penny of it.

With his explosive accusations against the team, the Glazers, manager Erik ten Hag, and his teammates, the 37-year-old has, in the opinion of United’s attorneys, violated the terms of his contract.

Piers Morgan and Ronaldo’s conversation was broadcast in two parts on Wednesday and Thursday.

United released a statement on Friday after stating earlier in the week that they would think about their response once all the facts were clear.

They have now filed a lawsuit to terminate Ronaldo’s contract and are reluctant to offer any sort of compensation because doing so would be viewed as rewarding betrayal.

Ronaldo has burned his bridges at Old Trafford, and according to The Glazers, Chief Executive Richard Arnold, Football Director John Murtough, and Ten Hag, there is no turning back for him at the club.
