There was considerable excitement surrounding Cucurella and his skills, but he has failed to make a significant impact at Chelsea. According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, this lack of impact prompted Chelsea to attempt to minimize their losses by offering him to Atletico Madrid.
However, Cucurella’s agent, Alvaro Dominguez, quickly dismissed these rumors and referred to the report as “fake news” in an Instagram post. Dominguez tagged Marca and added the comment “try again” with a “crying laughing” emoji, making it clear that there is little truth to the speculation.
