OFFICIAL! Manchester United Unveil Marcel Sabitzer (Video)

After highly regarded Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen was officially ruled out with an injury, the Red Devils made an unexpected surprise raid on deadline day to acquire the productive midfielder.

In the FA Cup game between Manchester United and Reading, which the Red Devils won 3-1, Christian Eriksen suffered a serious injury.

Christian Eriksen, 30, was tackled harshly from the side by Andy Caroll, who would subsequently receive a red card in the match, causing the 30-year-old to hobble off the field.

Christian Eriksen was seen straining to walk on crutches after the game, and it was clear the injury would keep him out for several months.

Christian Eriksen’s ankle injury will keep him out of play for up to three months, Manchester United announced in a club statement.

Depending on how well he responds to rehabilitation, the former Brentford star will now return to Old Trafford in late April or early May.

Due to Christian Eriksen’s injury, Manchester United was forced to sign Marcel Sabitzer, an unpopular midfielder for Bayern Munich, in a last-minute transfer swoop.

After several hours of discussions and negotiations with Bayern, the Red Devils have today officially announced the signing of Sabitzer.

Sabitzer will serve as a loanee with the Red Devils for the completion of the current campaign. There isn’t a buy option included in the agreement.

Sabitzer has scored twice in 54 games for Bayern before joining Manchester United in 2021, but he has had trouble cracking the starting lineup.

Here Is What He Said After Signing:

“Sometimes in life you have to make quick and important decisions.

“From the moment I heard about this opportunity I knew it was right for me.

“I am a competitive player; I want to win and help the club achieve its aims this season.

“I feel that I am at my peak as a player, and that I can contribute a lot of experience and energy to the squad.

“I am excited to start with my new team-mates and manager and to show my qualities to Manchester United fans.”

Last season, he started only eight Bundesliga matches, scored once and provided one assist.

Sabitzer is believed to be a good replacement for injured Christian Eriksen, and will join the the likes of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in Manchester United’s midfield.
