“One hundred per cent” Chelsea winger told to leave Stamford Bridge after the win

US winger Christian Pulisic has been asked to quit the team after Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League victory against Salzburg by Chelsea.

Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool star, thinks the American should emulate Timo Werner, who left Stamford Bridge in the summer and went back to RB Leipzig.

Since returning to RB, the German has found his form, and Carragher thinks Pulisic should take note of this.

Leipzig defeated Real Madrid 3-2 on Tuesday night in the Champions League thanks to a strike from Werner, who now has five goals for the year.

Pulisic played as a right wingback in Chelsea’s 2-1 triumph over RB Salzburg earlier in the evening.

After three years at Stamford Bridge, Pulisic has struggled to establish himself in his ideal position.

When asked if Pulisic should use Werner as an example to leave Stamford Bridge, Carragher responded to CBS Sports, “100%.”

Additionally, he continued, “I simply think Pulisic is sort of at that moment right now when there have been a couple managerial changes.”

Even though the American is spending more time with Potter this year, Carragher thinks it would be challenging for him to break into the Blues’ established starting 11.

“But he’s been there for a while, and for whatever reason, it hasn’t quite happened for him.

But at some point, you have to choose. He continued, “I don’t think you can stay in that position that he’s been in for the previous two or three years.
