“People close to the player” – Romano shares behind scenes update on £190k per week Man United star

Harry Maguire, a defender for Manchester United, could be leaving Old Trafford this summer after a difficult 2022–2023 season.

How much money does Harry Maguire make?
With a top-three Premier League finish and a Carabao Cup victory, the Red Devils had a fantastic first season under Erik ten Hag overall.

However, Maguire will be one player eager to move past this season after seeing his spot in the starting XI disappear under the Dutch coach.

Compared to the 28 starts he had in the 2021–22 league season, Maguire has made only eight Premier League starts this year.

This summer will mark the fourth anniversary of Maguire’s transfer from Leicester City to Old Trafford as his contract enters its final two years.

The £190k-a-week England international is definitely no longer in United’s starting lineup, and reports out of Italy (via GOAL) indicate that Ten Hag is ready to strengthen his defense even more this summer.

In a YouTube video, Fabrizio Romano asserted that the player and the group agreed that this summer should be the moment to part ways:

But it seems, according to both the player’s and the club’s close colleagues, that letting Harry Maguire leave in the summer will be the best course of action.

He wants to have fun. Harry Maguire will meet with Manchester United at the conclusion of the season to discuss his need to play, which is essential for the Euros as well. There will also be Erik ten Hag.

Maguire is trying to find a group.
Prior to the start of the summer transfer season, one team has apparently emerged as a potential rival for the 30-year-old center defense.

Ange Postecoglou was recently appointed as Tottenham Hotspur’s next permanent manager, and it is believed that this is the club.

In fact, according to rumors, Harry Kane has already asked the club to sign his England teammate as they work to improve their defense.

With 63 goals surrendered, Spurs had one of the worst defensive records in the whole Premier League at the end of the 2022–23 campaign.

It would be interesting to see how much of the 30-year-old’s £80 million price tag Manchester United can maintain if he is sold this summer after a dismal campaign.

Another intriguing potential factor is Harry Kane, who United is rumored to want to sign this summer.

Given that Spurs are rumored to be interested in Maguire, it will be fascinating to see whether United would be willing to do business with the north London club if they are unwilling to move them Kane.

Maguire might also be able to be included in a potential deal for the England captain.
