Pep Guardiola warns Chelsea about this £553,000 per week Manchester City star

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has issued a warning to Chelsea and the other Premier League teams, stating that Erling Haaland is currently in a significantly improved physical state compared to his condition during the previous pre-season. During Manchester City’s tour of Japan and South Korea, Haaland came off the bench to score two goals as they secured a 5-3 victory against sister club Yokohama F. Marinos in their first pre-season friendly.

Guardiola commented that when comparing Haaland’s current fitness level to last season’s, there has been notable progress since he first joined the club. While everyone would like to see his form replicate that of last season, Guardiola emphasized that the primary focus is on preventing injuries. He acknowledged that Haaland looks good, but he, like the rest of the team, still has some way to go to reach their peak condition.

The manager stressed the importance of Haaland’s brace in the first pre-season game, especially considering that he struggled to score in the latter part of the previous season. Guardiola emphasized the significance of establishing the right rhythm, principles, and concepts during training to ensure that the team performs at their best.

Guardiola further mentioned that they are well aware of Haaland’s capabilities and what is required from him. He expressed confidence that in a few weeks, Haaland will be in even better shape than he is currently.
