Pochettino admits this £97,000 per week Chelsea player has potential to be one of the best in the world

Chelsea secured an £89m deal for Mudryk during the middle of the previous season, triumphing over London rivals Arsenal.

However, the Ukrainian player had a forgettable season and has yet to find the net in 17 appearances for Chelsea.

The new Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is optimistic about Mudryk’s future with the team, asserting that the young winger possesses immense potential to become a top-tier player, notwithstanding a lackluster first six months in the Premier League.

Pochettino also disclosed that he has engaged in discussions with Mudryk, sharing, “I’ve had extensive conversations with all the players, including Mudryk, especially since he was in Barcelona for a few days and we exchanged messages. In recent days, we’ve spoken further, and I must say he is a really promising individual.

He’s still young and has tremendous potential. Building trust and confidence is vital for us. We are working on developing a solid relationship with him and other players. They need to get to know us and understand how we handle different situations. We’ve had numerous talks, and I’m pleased with the progress.”
