Rashford has been told to emulate Ronaldo’s qualities at Man Utd

Marcus Rashford has been challenged by Manchester United icon Roy Keane to adopt Cristiano Ronaldo’s trait of becoming the team’s “main man” at Old Trafford.

Keane supports Rashford to follow Ronaldo, who departed the team in November when his contract was mutually ended, and thinks Rashford has the leadership skills to lead Man United.

The Irishman made this comment after Man United’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal at the City Ground during the post-match show on Sky Sports.

Has Marcus got the personality to stand up to the plate? This is the question I’ve been asking myself about him for the past few years. Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Andy Cole, Mark Hughes—the list goes on—are just a few of the outstanding strikers who have played for United over the years, according to Keane.

“Listen, I want that obligation to be the main man,” Marcus should be saying, “because I think United need someone like that.”
