Real Madrid have turned down the offer to sign the Chelsea star, even for free
Kante has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid on a free transfer, but the European champions have declined the chance to sign the former Chelsea player for the upcoming season, according to Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle).
Every team will aspire to have N’Golo Kanté on their team, so it comes as a surprise that the La Liga giants have declined an offer to sign the French international for nothing. Even though Toni Kroos and Luka Modric appear to be the center of Real Madrid’s current midfield, their long-term futures are still in question.
Despite returning to training, N’Golo Kanté sustained an injury against Tottenham at the start of the current campaign and has yet to play again. Due to his propensity for injuries, contract disputes with Chelsea are still open.
It is unclear what will happen to his future after the season when his contract expires.
