It has been revealed that James has signed a new contract tying him to the team through the year 2027.

The right-back, who graduated from the Chelsea youth academy, has been given an enhanced, long-term contract by the Blues as compensation for his outstanding achievements as a crucial member of Thomas Tuchel’s club.

The 22-year-old is vying for a berth in England’s starting XI for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this season, and he will want to improve his chances by maintaining his good performances for the London side.

James expressed his gratitude for the fans, the new ownership, and all of the club’s employees, saying, “I am over the moon with my new deal.

“I’m excited to see what the future contains, and I have no doubt that we will have the opportunity to win many titles. I’ve been here since I was six years old, and I’ve grown up cheering for this club. Because this is the club I want to be at, I signed a new contract.
