Teddy Sheringham has encouraged Manchester United to ‘blow the bank’ in order to buy Cristiano Ronaldo’s ideal replacement, arguing that the club should have allowed him to depart last summer.

Sheringham advised Gambling.com, “If they’re going to go out and break the bank for someone, go out and get Harry Kane.”
