Ronaldo’s agent ‘very optimistic’ on deal to leave Man Utd for LaLiga

According to rumours, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is exerting every effort to get his client to switch from Manchester United to LaLiga this summer.

Ronaldo is driven to keep competing at the highest level and taking home championships.

In Erik ten Hag’s first season as manager, United, who will compete in the Europa League, does not want the 37-year-old to stay.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea have all disqualified themselves from competing for Ronaldo.

The three clubs think that the Portugal captain would not work with their pay structure or long-term goals.

But Mendes reportedly believes a transfer to Atletico Madrid can still happen, according to radio station El Lageuro (via Sports Illustrated).

The super agent believes that since the problem is purely economic, it can be “solved” through the required talks.

Mendes believes that within the next month or so, Atletico will permit a few players to leave. Ronaldo will be able to join because of this opening up on the wage bill.
