Southgate told to drop this star from England’s XI against Senegal if he wants to win the match

Jason Cundy, a former Chelsea player, thinks England manager Gareth Southgate should leave Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford out of his team’s starting lineup when they play Senegal in the World Cup round of 16 match this weekend.

On Sunday, England will play Senegal in the World Cup round of 16.

The Three Lions defeated Wales to advance to the knockout rounds, and Senegal defeated Ecuador.

Prior to the game, Cundy remarked that despite scoring twice against Wales, Rashford “wasn’t terrific” and that players like Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Phil Foden should start ahead of him.

“Phil Foden, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka would be my starting front three against Senegal. Marcus Rashford is not someone I would start, Cundy told Grosvenor Sport.

Who would you place him before? Saka cannot be played based on how well he performed for Arsenal prior to the competition.

“Rashford has received a lot of attention this week, but I didn’t believe he played well against Wales. At halftime, you could have had him taken off. He did score two goals, but I was hoping for a better performance from him, which I didn’t get.
