“Such an exceptional player” – Gary Lineker singles out one Chelsea player after win over RB Salzburg
Gary Lineker, a former Barcelona striker, singled out Chelsea forward Kai Havertz for praise following the Blues’ 2-1 victory over RB Salzburg in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
At the Red Bull Arena Salzburg, Chelsea overcame RB Salzburg thanks to a goal from Havertz.
Mateo Kovacic, another member of Graham Potter’s team, also scored.
Chelsea has 10 points after five games and currently leads Group E.
In response, Lineker referred to Havertz’s goal as “beautiful” in a post sent via his Twitter account.
Lineker tweeted, “Gorgeous goal from @kaihavertz29.”
Havertz will now look to build on his outstanding performance for Chelsea when they play Brighton on Saturday.
