Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has explained why the Red Devils chose to recruit Ajax star Antony.
Before his team’s Thursday trip to Leicester, Ten Hag told the media that the Red Devils still have a lot of games to play.
He stated that Manchester United and Ajax had agreed a deal for the 22-year-old star Brazilian international, but he added that the paperwork is yet incomplete.
“I need to sign him first, though! I can’t go too much into that since the paperwork isn’t finished, but there is an understanding between the clubs.
“Our team has to be strengthened in the offense department.
We currently cover three games per week because there are numerous games to cover. They quickly become exhausted because they must run more and run harder, especially offensive players. There, we need both quantity and quality in equal measure.
