Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, stated that Cristiano Ronaldo “needed a goal” following the 37-year-first old’s of the year against Sheriff Tiraspol.
In Moldova’s 2-0 victory, Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot.
It was the first score for Ten Hag’s team in the Europa League.
Ronaldo scored, his 699th in his professional career, and first in eight games this year.
Ronaldo required that objective.
“Many times [during the season thus far] he was near, but he wanted that so badly.
“The team wanted to bring him a goal, and we are thrilled for him. Cristiano will score a penalty, you know that,” Ten Hag added.
