– Player urged to leave Chelsea in the summer if he want to get playing time
Christian Pulisic should leave Chelsea in the summer, according to Brad Friedel.
“It all started with Chelsea having too many players. In an interview with Sporting Post, veteran Premier League goalkeeper Friedel spoke on Pulisic’s potential opponents.
“I don’t agree with those who think someone should quit if they aren’t participating because I think you should fight for your position and demonstrate your value.
Christian is one of the most crucial players for the USA, therefore we’ll want him to play often if there aren’t going to be chances.
He still has one year remaining on his deal, but I’m sure someone will want him. The financial aspect comes next.
“As I’ve never talked to him, I’m unsure of what he wants—whether he wants to remain and fight for his position or if he wants a different challenge.
It will be one of those summers when he either learns he is in Chelsea’s plans and receives an offer for a new contract or is sold.
Looking at the situation, I believe the latter is more likely, and we’ll see him someplace else, which might be beneficial for his ability to play regularly.
