“They are ambitious, I’m impressed” They have a clear vision of where we want to get to – Frank Lampard hailed Chelsea owners

They have aspirations. In his press conference today, Frank Lampard praised Chelsea’s new owners, saying, “They have a clear vision of where we want to go to.

The gaffer continued, “I’m impressed with the commitment and solid intentions. Everything needs to line up properly from top to bottom. I’m quite impressed.

The fact that this is a long-term effort and notion must be acknowledged.

“There may be difficult steps, and that’s important that we work really hard to get into the right direction,” the Chelsea icon ended.

The Chelsea football club and other UK-based assets of former club owner Roman Abramovich were seized by the UK government last year. Following the Russia-Ukraine war, the Russian millionaire was charged of having connections to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Chelsea was purchased for £4.25 billion in May by Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, co-founders of Clearlake Capital. They then spent more than £500 million on new players and a new coach named Graham Potter, but the team’s performance has been dismal ever since.

Following a string of disastrous outcomes, Potter was fired by the new owners, and Lampard has been tasked with righting the ship. But since his comeback, Lamps has lost both of his games.
